The Dutch Top 40 Foundation and Capital of Media have a new international audio program from this week: Global Top 40 Chartshow. The chart offers an overview of the musical developments in the world. The Global Top 40 looks at the 21 most important music markets on all continents and provides an overview every week based on this, representing more than 70 percent of the global music market.

Erik de Zwart, chairman of the Dutch Top 40 Foundation: “With the Global Top 40, we show every week what is happening outside our national borders. Thanks to the collaboration with Capital of Media, we can now also let you hear everything about that hit list. A dynamic and informative show that in two hours lets you know everything that is currently happening in the world in the musical field.”

Anthony Timmers, founder of Capital of Media: “As a little boy I cycled to the record store every week to pick up the printed copy. For years, as Imaging Director of Radio 538, I was allowed to take care of the audio design of the Top 40 and now with this collaboration we are going to delight music fans all over the world. Our editorial and production team is passionate about creating the weekly program, which is presented by Nick Karkazis. The Global Top 40 can be heard every Thursday through radio stations around the world and on globaltop40.com. Radio stations interested in getting the program on air, can contact the Capital of Media sales team.”
